Margaret Louise Van Keuren Date of Birth: September 19, 1954 Date of Death: June 3, 2011 Margaret Louise passed away suddenly in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on June 3, 2011. Born in Denver, Colorado, on September 19, 1954, she was the daughter of Edwin and Martha (Gaymon) Van Keuren. Maggie attended the University of Colorado where she received a B. S. in Molecular and Cellular Developmental Biology. Her PhD in Human Genetics was awarded at George Washington University. Throughout her career, she worked on various projects at the University of Michigan, most recently at the Transgenic Mouse Lab. Maggie is survived by her brothers, Alison and Nathan Van Keuren, numerous nieces and nephews, and her beloved feline companion Jasper. Her remains will be cremated and scattered in the Rocky Mountains west of Denver. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, 434 West 33rd Street, New York, NY 10001 or Amnesty International USA, 5 Penn Plaza, New York, NY 10001. |
