Aurora Central High School Class of 1972

Timothy Nelson, 59, passed away in Grand Junction, Colorado. He was born in Aurora, Colorado, where he spent his childhood. He graduated from Aurora Central High School in 1972, and then attended Mesa State College on a football scholarship. He worked a long career with UPS as a delivery driver and union steward. Tim was a loving father to his two sons and is survived by his son, Nathan (Patty) Nelson of Los Angeles, California, and by his son, Cody (Sarah) Nelson of Grand Junction, Colorado. He is also survived by his two grandsons, Tully and Ronin Nelson. He is also survived by his sister, Sue Taniguchi of Beaumont, California, and by his brother, Greg (Nancy and family) Nelson of San Diego, California. He is preceded in death by his parents. Tim was a fun-loving and hard-working individual. He loved all sports activities, especially cycling and boating, and was an avid reader. He touched many people throughout his life.
